Emperor James Zarnim

The Warlord turned Emperor James Zarnim is a great and charismatic leader who is quite skilled in diplomacy, however his greatest skill is at the point of a sword. He is a master swordsman as well as a marksman and exceptionally skilled in the use of most other weapons. He has spent much of his life either working as a mercenary or a bandit. In more recent times he has gone from a bandit king to a warlord and now to the ruler of a small nation which he and his lieutenants have carved out of a land of farmers and bandits. He has a large army at his beck and call. Many of which are skilled thieves, assassins, bandits, and warriors in general. He has wasted no time in bringing order back to this lawless region with both his charisma and his might. The nation of Tetrin is an oppressive region with guards on every corner whether they are visible or not. There are no gangs or thieves guilds or bandit groups alive in Tetrin for two reasons, first is because most of said gangs guilds and groups have allied themselves with the Emperor and are now respected members of the military. And reason two any that do not join the military or find another lifestyle that is more conducive to survival either leave the nation or are sentenced to death and executed. There is little corruption in the imperial court because he has agents on every level that work very hard to keep their purpose and duties a secret from the rest of the court. He does have a select group of known spies to distract the corrupt while the unknown’s plant a knife in their back both figuratively and literally. However there is still a certain amount of corruption that can not be removed because they are as skilled or more than those hunting them and sometimes on rare occasions do they have a friend in the spy network. Very rarely are people executed for corruption as the warning is often enough to set them straight and on other times they are made into a spy. However those that refuse to fix their habits and refuse to be spies are eliminated in a very careful fashion so that there is no outrage. Now though the Emperor appears to be a great man he is by far no saint for behind is charismatic and generous surface beats the heart of a malignant monster who cares little for anyone but those closest to him specifically himself and his lieutenants. The kindness he displays to the world is only an act and it allows himself to build a greater power-base. Because if there is no crime or corruption in his nation he will be the envy of all as well as the most powerful nation in the region and with such a set up… well he will be lord and master of all things both within and outside his nation. A nation that is prosperous and powerful has no need to fear rebellion and with an army of spies running around the Tetrin and the surrounding lands and nations he can accurately determine what actions to take without angering people.

Lord Zarteth

Lord Zarteth is strange and secretive being, when and where he came from is strangely unknown as is when the great city of Yuerkro was founded. The best guess is that the city of Yuerkro was founded on the Serpents Crown approximately 150 years ago. This belief has been argued to death however because there is no reference to the city in world history that goes back to the end of Celestial War. Others argue that not all of the history survived the cataclysm and that this Zarteth is older than he appears but disbeliever’s say that that is impossible for there is no other intelligent life besides that of man. Whatever the case the city of Yuerkro and its ruler are shrouded in a mystery that no one seems capable of explaining or even interested in. The nation of Plermar is a growing nation with expansive towns and cities. Plermar is by all appearances the greatest in territory but smallest in military strength. The region Plermar inhabits is full of many skilled craftsman and labourers. The region is one of low mountains and rolling hills and plains.
